I heard Canadian Geese yesterday.
I lovelovelove the sound of Canadian Geese, don't you? Here, in West Texas, it means that Fall is coming. Woot! Fall is coming! Cooler days, colder nights. Fireplaces all a-roar and laps covered with comfy blankies just waiting for me to make many much biscuits before I curl up for snoozin'.
::sigh::
And, again, I say-::sigh:
BTW, I know you know there are some pretty awesome friends in this here Cat Blogosphere and DWB. Right? Well, an especially giving heart gave Mickey the nicest gift..a BANJO! And he's strummity-strum-strummin' it fit ta bust, I'm just sayin'.
Nothin' left to say 'cept-Thank you.
Thank you.

27 Folks I LOVE To Hear From!:
Hey! You look wonderful blue!
A Banjo for Mickey! That is great! I really hope he has many happy hours with it!!
Angus, you always look fabulous, but blue looks particularly good on you!
The Banjo... WOW! That is such a wonderful thing. Strum away, Mickey!
How generous of the human to give Mickey a banjo! That's wonderful. The CB really reminds our mom that people can be kind-hearted.
As for fall...It means winter is on the way and none of us cares for the snow and ice and sub-freezing temps. Brrrr!
What a great picture of you Agnus!
We love to hear the Canadian Geese herald in autumn.
that is a pawsome banjo!
Oh wow!!!! That is such an awesomely wonderful thing to do!!
That is great that somebody sent Mickey a banjo. He must be totally thrilled.
We have Canada Geese living on the marshes close to us. About half of them stay all year around now. The rest have come back again and they give us a fly past every morning and night.
Did you see our photos with the drinking fountain yesterday?
The night before last I managed to scoop out all but about half an inch of water. Mum heard me scraping in the night and thought I was just splashing it like I usually do with our water. She found the kitchen floor covered with water in the morning. She thinks it was because she turned it off when she went to bed and I wanted to see the water keep moving.
How generous that someone gave Mickey a banji, he must be thrilled! I didn't know his story so I just now scrolled back a little to read about him. Thank you for sharing! I also find it difficult to talk about private things but my blog and the wonderful friends I have met in the CB are helping me to be more open...and Mikey's banjo just goes to show that if people don't know they can't help :-) I hope Mickey gets lots of enjoyment from learning this new instrument!
PS - here in canada we have the geese everywhere, some people think they are pests but I love to see them in the sky :-)
We like Fall even though it isn't very different from Winter here.
How cool that someone gave Mickey a Banjo!

Woos ~ Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara
WOW! A banjo of Mikey's very own! Now that is way totally cool. Mommy got a little teary for your Mom.
Angus, you are one cool bloo dood...just sayin'.
What a terrific gift! Fun.
We sued to see Canadian Geese when we lived in Evil Ohio. One time, the Woman was driving and she saw a whole bunch of them walk across the street--right at the crosswalk. Then they got to the other side, waited a second, and crossed another street at the crosswalk. All the cars stopped and let them go...they had the right of way!
OK, running off, because I head dueling banjos playing somewhere...
Angus, dude...you make blue look good!
How exciting!!! Love the picture of Mickey and his banjo!!! How wonderful that someone gifted him with this!!!
Love your blue look! And fall coming is great...soon it will be time for turkey and ham and all sorts of treats!
That is so cool about the banjo!
We knew dat der were wunnerful beans on da CB! Um, does Mickey play fur yoo Angus? Does he play good? Dad calls geese "flying footballs" and it's true, when we see one sleeping wif it's head tucked unner a wing it looks like a giant football!
Dear Angus - our mom has been reading your blog, and she tells us you are a mancat from Texas (and actually just down the road from her mom). I lived with 2 Texas mancats, and I hated them both. But then my mom told me that you were borned in Oklahoma, so I figure I at least owe you the benefit of the doubt. So, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Fuzzy, and I'm a girl kitty who lives in Oklahoma with a pesky little sister named Zoe.
We love the picture of Mickey and his banjo. My mom had a feeling that one of the kind CB/DWB members would do something like this, and she's smiling real big now. That is just awesome!
If you'd like to stop by, we're celebrating Zoe's first gotchaversary. It's very nice to meet you, Mr. Mhor.
Fuzzy
Oh yeah, we forgot. Those geeses like to hang out in the pond in front of my mom's work place. She said they make really big poops.
Yeah, Angus, we love fall too...much nicer...but we know that here in the north, winter is soon to follow and we don't wanna see that white stuff!!
Can Mickey play us a song??
I am so happy that Mickey got his banjo! Hooray for the kind soul who sent this for him.
We like you just like you are! WE are Happy that Micky got a Banjo!
With the cool weather coming here in a few weeks, we are breakin out our Gizzy Quilts again. It is nice ta see them...
What an amazingly wonderful thing for someone to send Micky a banjo!! We hope he has so much fun with it & wish for extra blessings to whoever sent it to him!
That's awesome. He must be ecstatic!
Oh wow! That is SO nice!!
As for fall? We are READY.
We have canada geese here year round.
They are everywhere. There's a group of about 15 that hang out at the pond down the block. They like to stroll across the street and slow down traffic. Theres a huge flock that like to hang out at the Jr High playfields. The especially like the soccer fields to leave their generous sized poops on.
There are lots more in motion through the skys lately on their way to somewhere else.
Yay for the banjo coming through!
