This lovely view contains something the Sandy Man (who works on the other side of the world in a Very Sandy Place) LOVES! Rocks. Yep, he loves rocks and in England there are plenty of them. The rock wall you see above, marching on into the distance, is a bit of what remains of Hadrian's Wall. This section is in the Housesteads Roman Fort, near Hexham.
It's a pretty view, isn't it? Mom plans to have this photo blown up and posterized so she can frame it and hang it on a wall.
Above you see something a bit more interesting to you and I. In England and Ireland ( I don't know about Scotland, we'll have to ask the Dughallmors) the meat is known as rashers. We'd call it bacon! It's cut very thick and is more ham-ish than crispy bacon-ish. The eggs are raised locally and fried over easy. Martin, mom and dad's host at Angus Hotel in Carlisle, UK, is a terrific chef! Mom and dad said these were the best eggs EVAR!!!
In other news, the puppy is very slobbery. This is really gross. Mom bought a new camera last night and will be able to take some pictures of her tonight. All the lovely pictures taken overseas were courtesy of the Sticky Kids' Dad, who graciously loaned mom his very fancy Nikon camera for the trip.
There'd better be some of me, that's all I'm sayin'.

24 Folks I LOVE To Hear From!:
That picture is wonderful! Mom would love to see it in person. We are waiting for pictures of you!
We're so glad you're letting your mom share pictures of her trip. It looks like she visited some very interesting places. The picture of Hadrian's Wall is beautiful. We think your mom should have the picture of breakfast blown up and posterized for you. Yum!
Our mom is getting very hungry!!!!
Fresh local eggs... the Woman says what could be better and local eggs are so much more tasty than the ones you get in the store--she gets local ones in the summer at the farmers market...
our the mom says that one of her greatest desires in the world is to see Hadrian's Wall.
Beautiful wall picture. And that bacon....yummmm..not that we've ever had any, but we do get it smell it occasionally.
The pictures are furry good, and now Mom is hungry! We can't wait to see some more pictures of you Angus.

That's a delish-looking breakfast, but we would expect nothing else from an establishment called "Angus" anything!
Our breaths are bated with regards to the puppy...
Purrs,
The Chans
Enjoy the photos...what a wonderful trip.
Cool pictures, Angus. But, like everyone said, we want to see you!
Our Beans went to part of Hadrian's wall several years ago, and our mum agrees, it is beautiful there.
We call them bacon rashers and that is back bacon, whereas American bacon is streaky bacon and cooked until it is crisp. Mum doesn't like American bacon but she does like the little sausages which she gets on the cruise ships.
"That is indeed a great wall". Oh wait, that was somewhere else! It sure will make a great poster, though.
Those eggs have such deep golden yolks! Ours sure dont. We are more innerested in the rashers, though...
Isnt "slobbery puppy" redundant? ;)
Of khourse they'll be one of woo -
With your head in the puppy's mouth -
Or the pupppy batting at woo -
Or the puppy chasing woo under the bed -
Or the puppy chasing woo onto the khounter -

We call em bacon rashers here too. Very tasty!
I like rocks, too. Especially when they get all covered with pretty mosses and lichen!
Sounds like your mom ate well and had a good time. yes, there needs to be pictures of you included on the camera. :)
Love that picture of the rock walls! But I double love the bacon!
That is a great picture your mom took.
And the one of the wall is ok, too.
We're laffin' @ Khyra!!
That bacon looks nommy! We want to grab a piece right out of the monitor.
The Florida Furkids and Angel Sniffie
Mom agrees with us that the "rashers" look nummy. The eggs, not so much to mom. She has to have them scrambled. We are really enjoying the pictures from your mom's trip!
