This is Galaxy!
She's a beauti-gorgeous Alpaca my mom met at Fairshaw Rigg, a fab B&B in Hexham, UK. Besides providing the most comfortable lodgings in the UK, the kind folks at Fairshaw Rigg raise Alpacas and knit the softest, warmest scarves, socks, wristlets and more I've ever had the pleasure to make biscuits upon! This stuff is soooooo soft and warmy-warm, I wish I had a whole blankie of my very own made of it. The Alpaca fur shaft is hollow, holding in heat while remaining light. But, Galaxy does not give up her furs lightly, or without cost! Many green papers were spent to bring them home to me.
Did you know that Alpacas have only bottom teeth? The top of their jaw is a thicker gummed pad, so, thankfully, Galaxy did not take one of mom's fingers when she helped feed her breakfast.
The Lovely Lady above is the ONLY CAT MOM SAW IN THE WHOLE OF THE UK! At least, along Hadrian's Wall. She was one of several felines that secretly ran the B&B...you know how that goes! If you ever send your people to Hexham on vacation this is the place they need to stay.

#1 has an alpaca scarf which is one of her favourite items to wear so we can appreciate how heavenly your blankie feels, Angus! Now we need a pic of you modelling it!

Mom passes a farm just short of the PA MD line on her runs to Hagerstown that have some of those khritters out grazing with horsies and ponies!
I'm sure they would LOVE to be your blankie!

Did that Irish kitty meow with an accent? Mom has friends in Tennessee who raise alpacas. Maybe I can talk her into get us some blankets made with their fleece!

Oh, you made us dream of alpaca fur beds and a nice place for our Teri to stay if she ever gets back to England again.

We hafta haf mom go in search of an alpaca blankie now...She useta haf a scarf but she left it at a party and never got it back! She hopes who ever haf it is enjoying it.
We had no idea alpacas had such darling faces.
We have a llama farm not too far from us but mom's just seen them from the road, not up close.
Gray Cat is very hansome and we bet he keeps that B&B in tip top shape!
We bet a whole blanket made of alpaca fur would be so nice!

There is an Alpaca farm on the moors not too far from us. We don't know why mum hasn't been there and got us a super soft blankie.
Angus, we have an alpaca farm on our island! We've never seen them ourselves, but our mom has driven by and seen them outside.

ooo mommy had a scarf a friend made her, but she left it at a restaurant and no one turned it in. sigh. she wants to make another one for herself as soon as she has the time. they are so soft and warm.
