I'm stayin' in the dark, laid out flat on my side with mah whole belleh exposed to what ever trickle of air should happen by. I must avoid pantin' at all costs. ALL costs, I say! Pantin', on a feline, is NOT attractive. All that slobberin' and droolin' and tongue a-hangin' out down to my knees-::shudder::
In weather like this, I wish I were born a Sphynx, like Dragonheart and Merlin. You remember those guys? Gosh, it's been a long time since we've heard from them. I hope they're well. But, to be nekkit in the hots....::sigh::

Mr. Angus, we sure wish you all would get some rain and some cooler weather - our mom's mom is about to go totally batty with this hot stuff! And when she goes batty, it makes our mom batty, and, well, we're the ones that suffer.

I can't even imagine what you must be going through with Mickey. I know it's not similar at all, but my dad had a brain injury, so he was in a nursing home for 20+ years. Towards the end of those years, I became his legal guardian. I always liked when I didn't hear from the nursing home because that meant that he hadn't done anything TOO terribly bad! Anyway, I hope that Mickey adjusts very soon, and everyone is at peace.

We remember sometime after Dragonheart and Merlin left, someone said they had spoken to their mum on Facebook or somewhere like that and she said they were all okay.
We are glad today has been a quiet day with Mickey.

AGREED! It is not acceptable to pant! (cept that one time i went to the v-e-t.) Our AC runs day and night. Keeping us kitties comfortable is a top priority!
Angus, this weather is wacky! We've got the cools here...it's nice and stuff, but we wish it was just a little bit warmer. We gotta figure out a way to trade some of our cools for some of your hots!!
It is hot here too! WE are ready for a lot of cool. Dark bedrooms with a fan is the way to go!
